3D Character Animator / Motion Capture Specialist
We are looking for an experienced character animator to set up our animation pipeline and plugins.
– Permitted to work in the EU (including EEA or Switzerland)
– 4+ years of relevant working experience
– Professional working proficiency in English
– Expert knowledge of Maya or 3ds Max, and MotionBuilder
– Worked on a shipped AAA game or movie production as character animator
– Experience using high-end motion capture systems (OptiTrack, Xsens, etc.) and data
– Exceptional skills in animating humans, with great understanding of anatomy
– Experienced in skinning, rigging, creation of blendshapes and keyframe animation
– Experience building high quality rigs for real-time game productions
– Deep passion for performance capture, animation and game development
Key Skills And Responsibilities
– Build and optimize our animation pipeline (Maya, 3ds Max, MotionBuilder, etc.)
– Work closely with a tools programmer to develop plugins implementing our body data
– Animate natural and expressive motion to create realistic and convincing animations
– Capture and clean up animations for real-time game assets
– Skin characters
– Set up and maintain high quality rigs
– Enable other animators to use our products for their specific needs in the best way possible
– Bachelor degree or higher education in 3D Animation, Motion Capture, Film or equivalent
– Experience with Python, MEL or Maxscript
– Experience with facial motion capture
– Worked with body scan data (photogrammetry)
– Professional working proficiency in Dutch
