Controlling robots with Telexistence

Tokyo-based start-up Telexistence Inc. is working a robot that will shape the future.  Imagine having your own personal robot anywhere in the world. U sing the Manus VR Gloves, Telexistence allows people to take control of MODEL H, a robot that can perfectly mimic its users movements.

The Problem

Telexistence Inc. created a robot that can completely mimic the  movements of the user controlling it. To create the most immersive  and accurate experience, Telexistence Inc. was looking for a way to copy the natural movement of the hands and fingers to the robot, allowing users to have the robot interact with its surrounding like a human could.

The Solution

The user can see the world through the MODEL H's eyes using the HTC Vive. With Vive Trackers the body and arms are tracked. The Manus VR Gloves allow the users to naturally control the robot's mechanical hands. Using our SDK in C++ the company could easily stream the hand- and finger data to the robots hands.  With pinpoint accuracy, the robot hands can be used like ones own.  Telexistence Inc. also created force feedback technology, fully compatible with the Manus VR Gloves. With this tech, users can experience force feedback on their fingertips.
